It seems a good 99.9% of Death Knights are unholy these days and for a good reason. But I think frost is way better and the number 1 reason is that you don't have to rely on a pet. I mostly play a healer and the pet is always on me and not the kill target which is split DPS and that is bad. Frost just screams pvp. Slows, guaranteed crits, free interrupts, ect. Now with the patch 4.0.6 the chilblains talent makes chains of ice root for 3 secs(note:druids not specced into resto can't shift out of roots only slows!) Now also as of 4.0.6 necrotic strike, which was the #1 reason for everyone being unholy, now is effected by resilience. I see more Dks respecing in the future.

Frost Tree
Way more talents are stuffed into this tree just for PvP because everything is so good. The only thing you don't get is the dual wield stuff.

Blood Tree
Make that defensive stat an offensive stat.
Just over 20k armor gives you just under 700 attack power.
Unholy Tree
This was about the only thing I had to think about. It is either 20% disease dmg or diseases last 8 seconds longer. I went with the longer duration because some moves just need diseases to be on the target to do more dmg and frost isn't dependant on diseases doing the damage anyway.

Frost presence for sure.
Regardless of spec, 2h needs to be in unholy presence.
Great insight for frost. I've been looking for some input that was actually useful and I must say you've convinced me. Going to at least give frost a try in arenas. Unholy is great, but like you said, pet-dependent.
what did u reforge ur gear into?

I use 2h and reforge hit and haste.
How do u deal with warriors I try duelling one earlier she just owned me so bad just charge hit me down Alot ran away and charged just in time to stun me more is it me or are warriors just op, plus Dnt help I'm still abit noob at pvp atm
Warriors are very good so don't feel bad. Icebound fort for stuns and try not to let them get away for charge. Just use death strike and all you heal abilities because DKs have more than warriors.

I only pvp but and in pvp there is no set rotation its changes depending on what you are fighting. So a basic rotation would be howling blast then plague strike. then if you don't get killing machine blood strike making death runes then 2 obliterates and howling blast if it procs. then frost strike rune dump making your runes comeback. A couple of examples of change would be like chains instead of howling blast if your target is hard to keep up with. Another is if a rogue pops evasion then you kite him and howling blast, death coil can;t dodge spells.

I just want to know what are the stat weightings of a 2H Frosk DK in PVP? From your earlier post, you mentioned that you reforged hit and haste. Which stat did u give up for them? Thank you. Is strength and mastery important in PvP?
5%hit is a must so reforged any crit,mastery,expertise to get capped.spell pen is a must aswell. I have 120 . but its str>haste>mastery>crit. so depending on the dif gear you got.
sry but i dont know what spec is the best for dps?frost or unholy?did frost dieing veary easy ...
i like pvp only so pls tell me what is for me frost or unholy
